Class 4 - Preparing Models for Texturing and Material Editor Interface
Now that you are confident with modelling in 3ds Max, next you will learn how to get your models ready for texturing. This course will focus on topics such as scaling your model (reset Xform), Xview, texturing workflow, using material templates including arch & design and Autodesk materials. You will also learn how to apply a material to a model by using UVW maps and the unwrap UVW method.
Class 5 - Best Practices for Materials and Working with Cameras
This class teaches you the best practices when it comes to working with materials so you save time and effort. You will learn how to open, save, create and merge material libraries, as well as various texturing techniques. You will also learn all about cameras and views.
Class 6 - Adding a Sky to the Background and Creating a Daylight System
During this two-hour session, you will learn how to work with the Viewport Background, as well as the isolation mode and displaying the object properties. You will then learn how to create a daylight system in 3ds Max. This class will also teach you how to work with the Mentalray Renderer as well as the final gather.
Class 7 - Interior Lighting and Rendering for Print
The final class of this 3ds Max training course focuses on various lighting techniques for interiors.
